So I’ve basically deleted all the music from my iTunes that I never actually paid for. There was so much stuff on it that I have never listened to let alone actually knew. I think that’s one of the negative sides of the Internet - you can get anything if you search hard enough, and it’s also like a spiral. You feel like you need more and more new music without actually dealing with anything properly, which is a sad trend I think.
It’s not like I don’t buy music - I have created quite a little collection of CDs, digital stuff and some vinyls over the last few years. But quantitively there was much more music on my iTunes that I didn’t really care about.
I’d rather listen to an album on Spotify or Youtube for a few times to decide if I really need it and then I can still get it by paying for it, or buy single songs off of iTunes if I think they stand out but the rest is shit.
That way I can support the music I REALLY like even better.
And feel more legal, too!
